Take Immediate action to prevent mold

If your carpet has standing moisture, you need to take steps to prevent that moisture from seeping into your furniture. Place aluminum foil or small blocks of wood between wet carpet and the legs of your furniture

Remove items from the affected area that can cause the carpet to become stained due to moisture saturation. This includes, furniture, books, magazines, rugs, clothing, and any item that has the potential to bleed colors when wet.
